Multi-Modal Hub, Ta’ Xhajma Xewkija

A multi-modal hub is being constructed at Ta' Xhajma in Gozo, which will provide 300 parking spaces and charging pillars for electric cars. The new facility aims to reduce traffic congestion in the harbour area, which is notorious for creating bottlenecks during peak hours.

Malta National Optical Astronomy Observatory

The EcoGozo Directorate in collaboration with the Institute of Space Sciences and Astronomy (ISSA) of the University of Malta, have installed Malta’s first National Optical Astronomy Observatory at il-Qortin Ta’ Sopu, Nadur.
